2010 Winner
The guidelines are:

The drawing size is 10 1/2 by 10 1/2 inches.

|
|
The drawing must be hand drawn. Only the lettering may be done by computer.
|
|
The drawing may have the artist's signature in the design..
|
|
No more than THREE colors may be used. However, the fourth color will be the t-shirt’s color. Suggest the
t-shirt color by using the same color in the background of your drawing.
|
|
The design’s lettering should include: "30th Annual Springville Apple Festival; California; October 2010".
|
|
DEADLINE IS JUNE 1st.
|
Please leave your entry at the Patton House at 35680 Highway 190, any day from 10:00 to 4:00, or you may
mail entries in a protective envelope to the Springville Community Club, Attention: Sue Marcotte, P.O. Box
424, Springville, CA, 93265. If you have any questions you can call Sue Marcotte at 559-539-5018. The winner
of the contest will receive $50 and a free t-shirt. You do NOT have to be a resident of Springville to submit
a design. All entries become the property of the Springville Community Club.
All entrants: Please put your name, address and phone number on the BACK of your entry.

Wanted: the best bakers in the west, if you think you are the best then the Springville Apple Festival
Baking Contest is for you! Create your own special apple dessert and perhaps you will walk away with the
grand prize.

The rules are:

All recipes must contain apples in some form or other.
|

You may enter no more than two entries
|
|
All entries must have name, address, phone number and group entry on a 3X5 card.
|
|
Entries must be in a disposable container with the recipe attached.
|
|
Groups are; Learners ages 1 - 12 years of age, Rookies ages 13 - 21 years of age and Pro's ages 22 and up.
|
Entries will be judged on presentation, appearance, taste and texture.
Bring your entries to the gazebo at the Springville Park on Saturday; Oct. 18 between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. Late
entries will not be accepted. Judging will take place between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Prizes will be awarded in
each group and a grand prize will be awarded to the best baker in the west. Winners will be announced at
the gazebo at 11:30 a.m. and all entries will be auctioned off to the highest bidder.

Tell all your family and friends to bid on your prize winning entry. All proceeds will go the Apple Festival
Commitee to use for community involvement.

If you have a craving for apple pie, and think you could eat "pie 'till you drop",
then here's your chance. Sign up for the annual Apple Pie Eating Contest that
will be held both days during the Apple Festival.

The competition begins at 2:30 pm on Saturday and 2:00 pm on Sunday, in the Park.
|

|
There will be three age categories in the contest: 6 and under, 7 to 13, and
14 and above, and the contestants that win in their categories will take home the prize.
|
|
For the younger age group, three prizes will be awarded; two prizes for the
middle category, and one prize for the older group.
|
So save your appetite for "All You Can Eat Apple Pie", and maybe you'll be
a grand prize winner!
